Bodmin Town Council is recruiting for a full-time Caretaker to work within its Bodmin office and function rooms.

The job is busy and varied, and necessitates certain periods of lone working. The successful candidate will have key holder responsibility and be able to confidently liaise with contractors, office staff and room hirers.

Reporting to the Facilities Administrator, the Caretaker post is responsible for cleaning and preparation of rooms to be hired or used for Council meetings; performing general property maintenance tasks as required; coordinating standard maintenance checks with contractors; to act as a Fire Warden in the event of the alarm sounding; monitoring supplies of hot drinks sachets, marker pens, flipchart pads, cleaning products etc as required.

Salary is on a scale of £16,495 p.a (£8.55 p/h) to £16,863 (£8.74 p/h)
