At the Annual Town Meeting held on 7 March 2019, a request for information was received in connection with the financial contributions being collected from developers by the local planning authority.
Contributions from developers can assist with a range of infrastructure improvements such as road transport, education facilities, open spaces and the provision of affordable housing etc.
The attached spreadsheet sets out the financial contributions which have been negotiated from developments taking place across the town for the parish of Bodmin. The report shows the potential amount, amount collected and spent.
It is worth noting that the ‘potential amount’ is the amount stated in the section 106 agreement but not yet due for payment from the developer as the trigger for payment has not been reached.
It should also be noted that there is no guarantee that these monies will be paid across by the developer, as it will be dependent upon a development commencing and being built out under the relevant planning permission.
The report is also taken from a live database and therefore subject to change as new agreements are signed, money is paid and spent.
Bodmin Town Council would like to thank Cornwall Council’s Development Officer, Cornwall Council Infrastructure Team, for providing this information.
