BTC would like to ask anyone who would be interested in discussing the future of the new skate park planned for Priory Park to please attend a meeting in the Shire House Suite on Thursday 25 April 2019 at 6.00 p.m.
BTC would like to encourage the involvement of all ages, abilities and generations to be part of a Skate Park User Group. It is hoped that all disciplines of wheeled sports will be represented in this group and that the involvement in the process will allow for a sense of pride and ownership in the park and work alongside the parks and open spaces team and contractor to achieve the best results for the site both now and in the future.
The project is still at the beginning and a contractor is still to be finalised, but this is a great opportunity for the different generations and experience levels to really create something good for the area and provide a facility that will be used for many years to come.
The main objective for this meeting will be to gauge interest in working alongside the contractors to get the best designs for the users and to see who would be willing to give up some time to represent others on the user group. Numbers for this will be limited so application forms will be available at the meeting.
I look forward to seeing everyone and hearing what people have to say. We kindly ask that anyone under 16 please be accompanied by an adult.
